A law firm dedicated to the Arts,
Culture and Heritage

Aœdé stems from the meeting of Cyrielle Gauvin and Lucie Tréguier, two like-minded and hands-on lawyers, after years working in top-tier law firms and art related companies in Paris, London, and Sydney.

We are driven by a common passion for the arts, creation and culture. We decided to combine our respective knowledge and experience to bring a fresh perspective to our clients.

We are both actively involved in various cultural associations and not-for-profits, where we routinely crossed paths before starting Aœdé, including Barreau des Arts, an association founded by Lucie Tréguier, which provides pro-bono legal advice to artists in need.

This active involvement allows us to complement our legal expertise with the reality of our clients’ activities, and therefore to provide them with creative solutions based on proven experience in their industries.

Our knowledge of international practices makes Aœdé an essential partner in the support of our French clients in their complex international transactions, or our foreign clients for their operations in France.

Our passions, experiences and investments have enabled us to develop an innovative vision at the service of our clients’ goals.

Lucie Tréguier

Lucie Tréguier is a lawyer at the Paris bar and Aœdé ’s co-founding partner.

She started her career in Sydney working for a leading Australian law firm (2015-2018), while volunteering for the not-for-profit The Arts Law Center of Australia.

She has practiced in Paris since 2018, dedicating her focus to intellectual property and art law for clients within the culture, arts and fashion sectors.

She is a regular speaker at conferences and leader of workshops, and frequently provides training to various cultural and artistic actors (Beaux Arts de Paris, Poush and Artagon residencies, IESA, SPEOS, Incubateur du 104, LINCC Paris & Co, etc.).

Lucie Tréguier has a real passion for the arts that she began to pursue early on: she graduated from an art history bachelor at la Sorbonne Paris IV, which enabled her to develop a concrete knowledge of the sector in which she practices and balances out her technical law studies at Panthéon Assas.

As a lawyer committed to the arts, Lucie Tréguier co-founded and directs the association Le Barreau des Arts, which won the Pro Bono Award of the Barreau de Paris Solidarité in 2021.
